IKB is the duo of Trevor Clement and Courtney Asztalos. To date, the project’s single offering to the world is this one, immense first performance in Ithaca two years ago. I can still remember feeling stunned the entire time this presentation unfolded. The clarity, texture and attention to detail of this set immediately caused us all to step back. Coming from two visual artists who were not already immersed in the underground ‘ambient tape’ culture that is rife with projects not half as disciplined, this was very inspiring. It’s rare to hear an inaugural set this good and rarer still to have it captured. Enjoy!
