• Back from another few days in Newfoundland. Fred’s Records in St. John’s is freshly stocked with all available Absurd Exposition CDs and LPs, the former of which constitute the only material in the shop’s noise section. Aside from wheeling and dealing, time was spent in and near the Atlantic Ocean, at the Mauzy cider farm, eating frequent meals at Toslow and having all around sociable times. Absolutely one of Canada’s finest and most laid back places.
• Notable new arrivals this week include the latest batches from Andromache, Helicopter/Troniks (a restock of the new CD from The Cherry Point is already en route) and White Centipede Noise, a restock of the Ineffable Slime CD on Virtues, long lost titles from Receiving Vault, a new Brume CD on No Rent, plus new and out of print material from Howard Stelzer and Narcolepsia, and a restock of the new SPRING OF LIFE tape.
